SUN SPOTS AND RABBITS
Many strange discoveries stand to the credit of Canada, but one of the strangest of them is the fact that the destinies of rabbits are literally controlled by their stars. According to an investigation which has been made at the Dominion Observatory at Ottawa over a period of 90 years the number of rabbit pelts received by the Hudson's Bay Company was on the average three times greater in years when the sun spots were at their minimum than when they were at their maximum. It .-earns a trifling point (comments the Canadian Official News Bureau), but may it not be argued that here there has been established a principle which may vitally afi'ect us all? After nil, science has learned prodigious things from mice.
