BOXING
SENSATIONAL WIN IN LAST
ROUND
. SYDNEY, 9th November. At the Stadium last night, Tuzzolini (America, list l%lb) was awarded the verdict over Pearce (Australia, list l%lb) in sensational circumstances in the last round of a fifteen-round bout. The Newcastle lad forced the fighting for most of the way, and dropped the American in the fourth with a right swing to the jaw. He then piled up points till the fourteenth, when a left hook sent Tuzzolini down for nine. The American, though shaken, was game, and two min- 1 utes before time floored Pearce with a short right cross. The; Australian apparently did not hear the referee, who, when he rose, had counted him out.
