ATHLETICS IN CANADA
AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONAL
(Received- 10th November, 9 a.m.) VANCOUVER, 9th November. The Amateur Athletic Union of Canada, in - convention' here to-day, decided to permit (in team games only) play against professionals, providing the sanction had been given by proper governing bodies. The decision is not compulsory on the national government bodies of various sports, but advantage may bo taken of it by any of the individual governing bodies with the final consent of the branch of tho Amateur Athletic Union in whose territory the particular game is to be played.
