Mr. and Mrs. J. Fiudlay arc among the passengers on board tho Tamaroa, which will arrive in Wellington from England on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. W. 11. Ballanger, Wellington, are visitors to Christehurch for the races. Miss Heywood, Christehurch, is staying in Hawkes Bay, and later will visit Wellington. Mrs. Barclay, who came from England to visit her brother-in-law, Sir Heaton Ehodes, Otahuua, Canterbury, will leave on 17th November on her return journey. She will be accompanied by ber niece', Miss Lock. Mr. and Mrs. W- Winchester have arrived in Wellington from the North, and later will visit the South Island. Mrs. Charles Turrell, Ilalswcll street, is tho guest of Mrs. J. F. Buchanan, Fcndaltou, Christehurch, for the races. Mrs. Cowper and Miss Beatrice Cowper, Dannevirke, arc among the visitors to Christehurch for race week. Mrs. C. M. 'Fenwick, Auckland, is visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. 0. S. Watkins, Wellington, are staying at-the United Service Hotel, Christchureh. Mrs. W. Burns, Timaru, has returned home after a visit to Wellington. Miss Setlla Murray, who has been touring the North Island, is now in Christehurch. Mrs. Biuney, Wellington, is a visitor to Auckland. Mrs. K. P. Fish, Silvcrstream, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. J. B. Norris, in Christehureh, for the races. Mrs. Chisnall, Woodbury, South Canterbury, is a visitor to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Ivory, Wellington, are visiting Cbrißtchurch. Mrs. P. J. Kyan, Wellington, left ou Friday by the Marama for a visit to Sydney. Miss Jessie Wood, Wellington, is the guest of Miss Margaret Clark, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. H. Fcvgie, Wellington, fire the guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. Howling, St. John's Hill, Wanganui. Miss Kerr, of the staff of the Thorndon Associated Normal School, who has been on exchange to a school at Toronto, Canada, is back iv Wellington. She was absent from the Dominion for fifteen months, and visited Europe and England before returning to New Zealand. Mrs. W. Davies reported- at the annual meeting of the Wellington Centre of the Royal Life-saving Society that she was leaving for Masterton, where she would assist the Wairarapa district representatives to carry on the work of the society. The president, Mr. G. S. Hill, thanked Mrs. Davies for her past services to the society, and wished her success in the future.
