BRADMAN PLAYING SYDNEY, 7th November. In the Sheffield Shield match against South Australia, New South Wales in the first innings made 228 (Bradman 61, Fairfax 62, Hooker 54). Devcrson took four-wickets for 60, Carlton, four for 28, and Tobin two for 75. South Australia in the first innings has lost fire wickets for 74 (Nitschke 29 not out). When Bradman appeared to bat, the South Australians gave him a mighty cheer. Kippax, who captains New South Wales, madft 19. Tho weather is fine, but dull. Tho wicket was fast and tricky.
