GOVERNMENT'S PLANS QUESTION IN FEDERAL HOUSE CANBEBBA, 7th November. ■ When the House of Representatives met to-day Mr. Latham, Leader of the Opposition, asked tho Acting-Prime Minister whether the Labour Ministry had decided that Australia should default in meeting tho eighteen million loan due on 15th December by introducing legislation postponing the date of maturity of the loan. Mr. Fenton, replying, said that the Government's policy would be made known in due time. The eighteen million loan mentioned by Mr. Latham represents tho Commonwealth Government's share of the twenty-seven million loan. Eep'lying to Mr. Gullett, Mr. Teuton said that he had been in constant communication with Mr. Seullin over the wireless telephone, and what passed between them would be announced by way of policy.
