TWO DELEGATIONS

. Two delegations' from Britain are now visiting Africa to investigate trade, possibilities there. One, appointed-by the Government, under the chairmanship of Lord Kirkloy,- is in South Africa; the other, consisting of one member of Parliament of each of the three parties, is in i Northern Bhodesia. The Economic Mission appointed by the Government to discover what can be done to develop trade between Britain and South Africa consists,.in,addition, of Lord Kirkley,'- of : Sir/Francis I'Estrange Joseph, Mr. John 'Morgan; Mr. Frederick G, Sale, Mr. Eobei-5 Waddington, and Mr. J. The mission to ;Northeni Ehodesia- is composed of members. of the Empire Parliamentary , Association, who were invited by the Bhbdesian Government to investigate the problems of that country. They will draw-up. a report for the association on trade opportuni-' ties, with special reference ..to the opportunitie> for copper'refining. Tlie three members, Mr. J. Allen Parkinson (Socialist), Mr. P. J. Pybup (Liberal)/ and Mr. H. Leslie Boy.cc (Conservative), will return in time lor the opening of Parliament in October.
