AN UNREVEALED SECRET
BERLIN>27tIi September
Ilerr Eleberg, a Dueren engineer, claims to have perfected an unsinkable ship. Mcberg gave a demonstration with a model a yard' long, which was laden with a weight of fifty pounds. Holes were bored in the sides, but tho model refused to sink, and when thrust under water it immediately rose, with water pouring from the bored holes. The secret of the invontion was not revealed. '
The displacement of a ship-model three feet long is considerably under 50 pounds, and the claim that tho model was loaded with that weight is an absurdity that casts doubt upon the rest of the message.
