SYDNEY, 2Sth September. The. cricket season was opened in glorious weather. Centuries were made by Hogg (117) for University against Paddiugton; Salmon (110) for Mosmau against Glebe; Ives (109) for St. George against Cumberland, .and Soloman (100) for Petersham against Merrickvillc.
1 Bowling for Balmain against Gordon, Hird took six wickets for 3S runs.
