In the final of the Titahi Club's championship over 3G holes, during the weekend, D, Sloane beat A. Moore, 4 and 3. The morning was' pleasant, and the golf good, Sloane doing a 79 and Moore an S3, Sloane being up on his opponent. Wind and rain spoilt the conditions in the afternoon, but Moore fought pluckily, and at the ninth was only 2 down. Sloane finished iv a. string of good holes, and won i and 3.
In the second round of thn president's trophy, Murphy beat Gapes, Lulham beat Caughkv, Moore beat Fenton, Marchant boat Sloane, Crombie beat llinman, Boon beat 'Spiller, Gichard beat Bath, R. Thompson beat Denticc, Brown beat Lnngbcin, X Picot boat J. Ferguson, Wimberluy beat Stone, Fossey beat Worboys, IT. A. Bown beat T. A. Bown, Golding beat Downer.
