(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 21st August. Mr. and Mrs. J. Bruce-Christie (Wellington) spent eleven weeks in Sydney, after leaving New Zealand in March, and after a short stay in Hobart they -joined the'Moretoii" Bay ana came to Southampton, via Suez. At Port Said they met Mr. U. Y. Shannon (Wellington) now in the Royal Air Force, stationed at the Flying Training School, at Abu, Sucvi. He was able to show them round a little. London was reached early in August. _ Mr., and Mrs. Christie intend visitmg Scotland and tho Continent, and they think ot remaining in England until after next summer. Having retired from tho othce of solicitor to the New Zealand Stat« Advances Office, Mr. Christie's stay is really' indefinite, and he has come purely on a, tour of pleasure. Mr. aoid Mrs. George A. Eead (Wellington) have come back to London from a most enjoyable motoring tour covering some 3000 miles of England, Scotland, and Wales, visiting tho principal seaside resorts as well as the Scottish and English lakes. A route was taken which included most of the cathedral' cities and many of the wellknown castles. They found Oxford and Cambridge most interesting, and they hope to revisit them next term. Mr. and Mrs. Read will presently leave for a five weeks' tour of the Continent. They are very much attracted by London, so they hope to do more sight-seo-ing here when they reeross the Channel. ' Mrs. J. B. Eastham and Miss D. Eastham (Wellington) have arrived ia London from a lengthy stay on the Continent. They spent last winter on the French Riviera, and the early part of the summer in Paris and Boulogne. Mr. H. ML. Farrington (Wellington) has been on a yachting cruise round the West Coast of Scotland and on a motor tour through Scotland and Northern England. He is with relatives at Bournemouth for a few weeks, and at the end of August he will return to Scotland, with Perth as his objective. Mr. and Mrs. J. Ewart (Petone) have spent three months on pleasant tours in Scotland and the North of England, and next week they will leave for the Continent. On 13th September they will' leave England for America, but will come again to England early in December. On 10th December Mr. and Mrs. Ewart. will leave finally for New Zealand, via Suez and Australia. Miss Kate F. Kerr (Wadestown) arrived in England after having spent a most interesting year in Canada. She crossed with a party of Canadians to France; then went to Geneva, Innsbruck, Oberammergau, and after seeing the ''Passion-Play" she set out on a motor tour through Germany to Berlin, Munich, Nuremberg, and Dresden. Everywhere the party was received with the greatest cordiality, and was given offiftal welcomes from the Mayors and University dignitaries of the different cities.. In Hamburg there was a special send-off, the party being entertained by one of the Senators in the City Hall. Miss Kerr will be in London for a little while before setting out to tour England and. Scotland, taking in the lake countries.'..' At the end of September she will connect with the Orontes on her way home. She will go to Paris or Cologne by air, en route for Naples. "'/■ •■ . . " .
