MAYOR ON ITS FUTURE
I If the Bongo tai airport were found to bo too small or not entirely suitable for the purpose, said "the Mayor (Mr. <J. A. Troup), at the opening of tUo new Scout Hall at Lyall Bay on Saturday afternoon, it would be an easy matter to extend the recreation ground so as to givo a total area of 110 acres of 'flat land, which could be used as a cricket or football ground. It would make a fine playing field, and he doubted if any other city could boast of such a magnificent sports ground, when the sandhills wero levelled.
