NEW YOKK, 26th August. At Brookline (Mass.), in the women's invitation doubles, Miss Betty Nuthall and Miss Helen Marlowe (California) defeated Misses Polly and Joan Palfrey, 6-1, 6-1. In the mixed doubles Miss Nuthall and Lott defeated Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Hill, of Boston, 6-4, 6-4. Mereur and Hall defeated Godfree and Lee (England), 6-3, 6-1, 2-6, 6-3. OlifE and Perry defeated Coen and Coggesshall, 6-3, 6-4, 6-3.
