The British Government is expected to propose at the Imperial Conference the bulk purchase of foodstuffs and raw materials from the Dominions. Details of the scheme are being worked out by, \ Mr. J. H. Thomas, Dominion* Minister, and others.
' It is believed that the Govern-. ment will propose to establish public utility undertakings, which' would buy wool, wheat, meat, and other commodities from the Dominions. It is probable that these commodities from foreign coiuv tries would only be admitted under
licence.
