FIRE IN MASTERTON

MASTEBTON, This ] Day. An electric iron, which was left switched on, was the cause of a fire last night in tho shop of G. M'lvor, draper, in Queen, street, Masterton. The fire was discovered by the next-door tenant, W. G, Perry, gramophone "dealer. The brigade quickly put out the firt, but considerable damage was done to Mr. M'lvor's new stock, which had arrived only that day. Somo of th'« stock in the shop suffered from tho effects of smoka and water, and that-of Mr.. Perry also suffered slightly. The insurances are not available. The building, a one-story wooden structure, is owned by.Mrs. Mary Rue.
