CROSSBRED WOOL PROSPECTS

Messrs. H. Dawson, Sons, and Co., Ltd., London, Bradford, and Wellington, writing Bth July, stated that crossbred wools were not in favour. "A considerable quantity of the last New Zealand clip, which has ' been generally estimated at about 140,000 bales, still remains unsold. The Wool Federation has .ohowever, received a cable from the New Zealand Wool Brokers' Association that these figures have been grossly exaggerated, and also stating that they will be disposed of before the opening of the next season, aud that a large quantity has already been shipped. The fact remains that the industry has not purchased its usual quantity of these grades during the year, and this may explain why /the demand and the values of crossbreds have been so well maintained." ssew Zealand crossbreds constitute 08 per cent, of the total clip of the Dominion.
