H.M.S. DIOMEDE
APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS
(From "The. Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 25th July.
Several now appointments have been made to H.M.S. Diomedo now being reeomniissioned at the Naval Dockyards, Chatham.. Commander V. 13. Kcmball (B), 8.N., who was appointed in command during the refitting, has been appointed for service in tho Dominion when the ship is reepmmissioned. This officer is son-in-law of General Sir A. H. Russell. Mr. A. M. Watts, Warrant Shipwright, 8.N., appointed for tho recommissioning, is also to servo in tho Dominion. Oliver appointments to the Diomedo for service at Chatham and afterwards in the Dominion are: Lieut. C. W. Jones (E), R.N.; Mr. J. H. Gilbert, Warrant Engineer, 8.N., and. Mr. J. Macnamara, Warrant .Engineer, R.N, Paymaster-Commander H. G. Cavanagh, R.N., is appointed until the end of tho rent.
Tho veconunissiori will be about 15th October. Executive officers will not be appointed until a week or two before that date.
