A .most emphatic protest- was .registered last night at a meeting of the Thames Rugby Union against th» habit of the --management committed going into committee to deal with matters affecting players. ' A delegate, Mr. A. Delamorc, stated that matters discussed iii committee ■were common property on the following morning. He objected to this, and informed the union that it had lost the confidence of the players and th'» public.'.' ' ."'■'■•. :-'■■"'■•■ In a heated reply the chairman, Mr. H. Murray, declared that he was sick of the wholo thing. Players were never so well treated as this year.
A lengthy discussion took _ place _i» committee, the delegate again regis tering a protest. .
