PILOT KILLED
EXPLOSION IN MID-AIB
SYDNEY, 7th August. A Moth aeroplane crashed and fell over a thousand feet at Brighton le Sands. The pilot, J. Armstrong, aged 28 years, was killed. Spectators are of opinion that the petrol tank exploded in mid-aii^, as Armstrong's body fell a considerable distance from the machine, horribly mangled.. The burned tank was found close to the body.
