VALDEMARAS EXPELLED
KOVNO, 25th July. B«causo it was felt that 1113 presence menaced public order, Lithuania has expelled M. Valdemaras, the former Prime Minister. Motor-lorries removed his belongings from his flat, which will be sealed up during his absence. M. Valdemaras was well known as the "Enfant Terrible" of the League of Nations. In May, 1929, he narrow-,! ly escaped assassination, when students with a hand grenade killed his »tepson and aide-de-camp.
