OLD MAN'S VAIN QUEST
LONDON, 26th July. Mr. Taylor, aged 74, a punlmnn on the Lower Clarence River for 26 years, is to sail for Australia after a fruitless quest for his English relatives.
Ho migrated to Australia in 1880, and re-visited his homo several months ago, thinking that he might spend tho rest of his life among his relatives in scenes familiar to his youth.
Finding that ail were dead, ho decided, after a heart-breaking search, to finish his life, on tho Olaronc.o Biver, where he has many friends.
