NELSON NEWS
(From Our Own Correspondent.) NELSON, Bth August. Before Mr. T. E. Maunsell, S.M., Jeremiah James Foley pleaded guilty to a breach of probation. He also pleaded guilty to being in arrears with paymeuts on a maintenance order. On the first charge he was sentenced to two months imprisonment, and on the other lie was convicted and sentenced to a further two months' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended subject to the payment of £5 on Ist December and £1 per week there- * Margaret Connelly (Mr. H. Brodie) applied for separation Trom Patrick Joseph Connelly and for a maintenance order against him. The application was granted The defendant consented to,maintenance at the rate of 30s per week, and was ordered to pay costs, £2 2s. Messrs. H. W. Chienall (Nelson), W. P. Salmond (Central), and D. Haining (Motueka) have been elected unopposed as district representatives on the Nelson Fruit Advisory Committee.
