BURIED IN SAND
THREE CHILDREN DE.AD, TEN INJURED - LONDON, 31st July. Children were playing in a ■ sand-pit at St. Helens when thousands of tons of sand fell, killing three and injuring ten. Those rescued were black with partial suffocation. It is explained that children, , constantly playing "seaside," had undermined the side of the sand-cliff.
