"FAIREBL'S BEDTIME STORIES." In Wintertime, when Fairiel And her Fairies gather round, Sho tells such weird stories Of Pixies underground, Of caves that have bo endings, Of dolls that sing, and walk, Ajid lots of- other funny things, Like rabbits that can talk. But tho hours, they fly so quickly, And there's many a drooping head, So Fairiel ends her stories, And we're all sent off to bed. "PRAIRIE FLOWEE." Miramar. "AUTUMN IS G0NE....." Autumn is gone and Winter is here, The plants and tho trees Are all standing bare, Crisp and cold is the morning air, For Winter is here. "SUNSET." (10.) Cartorton. * « « "A WINTER AFTERNOON." Bed is the robin's puffed-out breast, As he sits on the leafless bough; Bed are the berries, bright but few On the wayside hedges now. Now from the windows firelight gleams Call to the feet that roam: "Best of all is the warm red glow.. Of the fire on the hearth at home." M. E. REYNOLDS.
