GOVERNOR-GENERAL
VISIT TO LINCOLN COLLEGE

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
The Governor-General (Lord Bledisloo) paid his first official visit to Lincoln College to-day. He was welcomed by the Board of Governors. After the inspection he addressed the students, 'and announced that he would present gold medals to ex-students who justified the promise shown while at college. IHe referred to the career of the late Sir Joseph Ward as the guiding star for the younger men of the country.
