AUCKLAND, This Day.
Commenting on the Hon. W. A. Veitch's proposal for rationing work in the Railway Service, Mr . He suggested that the men wonld favour a»scheme under which all in constant employment throughout the service should contribute to an unemployment fund on a graduated scale, according to their salaries. The A.S.R.S. branch will consider Mr. Veitch's proposal immediately after it officially receives it.
Fifty-three employees of the Otahuhu Railway Workshops, who were given notice of dismissal a week ago, have now been f instructed to continue work till further notice.
