SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.

Since yesterday there has been little pressure change or variation over the Dominion. A slight anti-cyclone has been centred east of the South Island, and an equally slight depression off the south-west coast of Westland. Mainly fair to cloudy weather has prevailed with light cast or north winds. During last night, however, isolated rain fell in many districts, but it was chiefly of a light, misty nature, although heavy falls were reported at Tauranea and Okuru. Many i'rost3 occurred again last night in tha South Island, and at 9 a.m. to-day it was snowing at tho Hermitage.
