VICE-REGAI. His Excellency tlio Governor-General Lord Bledisloe \iaid a visit to the Wellington Whiter Show this morning, and Her Excellency visited the Marsden School. Dr. A. A. Puller, of Wellington, wlio has be<3n doing medical work at Suva for the past four months, has returned to Auckland. He is leaving shortly for England to carry out post-graduate work. Tho Bishop of Aotea-roa is still an inmate of tho Rotorua Hospital, but ho is now recovering well from Ms operation, and is hopeful of leaving hospital in a week or so. It is his intention, on his recovery, to spend a holiday ia Karotonga. The death is announced from Christeliurch by the Press Association of Mr. 'Harry Quane, founder of the. wellknown firm of Quane and Co., merchants Mr. Quane was at one time president of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce. He was 74 years of age.
