TO-MORROWS PROSPECTS
(3y "Vedette.") .'.-.• The weather appears to be settled againnow and.the fortune of the. Wellington Eacing Club should hold for the conclusion of its meeting to-morrow. The track will be heavy. The opening event should be a duel between Avro and Make Up, with the latter likely to improve Bosshire no doubt will be the Novice Handicap favourite, for he^nished well yesterday, and in addition his looks suggested his being all the better for the race. Jayson may be nest in request. Pass On showed some speed yesterday, and Prince Desmond may show up better. Form points'to Eoashire and JayTho top weights- in the Crofton Handicap, Brilliant Light, Mt; Shannon, Tahoma, and Malahat, have all run_ decent races at the -.meeting. Of them | ■Malahat has, been -.unlucky. Singer has run two decent racos and he should strip a fit horso to-morrow. Mt. Shan-j non, Malahat, and Singer may do best. Tho race of the day next-comes up for decision, the Winter Hurdle Eaeo. Most interest will be centred on King's Jest, and next in request may be Mister Gamp. Aurora Borealis is engaged with several other 'chasers, who include Oineo, who, like King's .Jest, will be making his first appearance at the meeting. Betting no .doubt•/will take a wide range, but King 'a Jest and Mister. Gamp make the most appeal. ■•.■■Backers are set a stiff task in the Winter Oats, for in a big field luck will be paramount. Mendip and . Paddon have preference of the top weights, while the promoted hack; Town Major, cannot be passed by. Marjoram has raced'well'and unluckily, and Ranelagh has to be considered, for like True Blood he had no chanee on the opening day. A likely three may be Men- j dip, Eanelagh, and Marjoram. Master Lu and Eadiate will have plenty of friends in the July Steeplechase for they ran well on Tuesday. Matu was also going strongly when he came to grief in the Wellington Steeplechase. Form points to Master Lu and Radiate.
If Kiosk improves a trifle- he should account for those round about him in tho Onslow Handicap. Hopwood, who was unlucky yesterday, and another improver in Liniosin, deserve most consideration of the rest.
Coon Song may not be out of place again in the Kiaora Handicap. Blue Paper is smart at the , distance, and Crash and Hunting Call are both improvers. Form points to Coon Song and Portray, but Crash may, spring a surprise.
