The monthly meeting of the Sunday School Union was held last evening. Mr. W. E. Howe (president) was in the chair, and M delegates were present. It was decided to have a series or eight meetings for teachers. The Rev. E. P. Blamires, of the Young People's Depart- J ment of. the Methodist Church, will take four of these meetings. The other four ! will be devoted to discussion on the various courses of lessons now in use in the schools. For the teachers' examination four candidates entered, of whom two pained teachers' diplomas with marks of 97 per cent, and 82 per cent. To commemorate the jubilee of the union it was decided to invite subscriptions from the schools for the purpose oi providing four shields for competition in the annual examination. . _ Arrangements were made for special attractions at the annual rally in order to celebrate the union's jubilee and the third jubilee of the founding of Sunday schools by Robert Raikes. An effort will be made to secure medallions for presentation to all scholars who attend the rally. ___^^ -.
