NEW BRITISH LIFEBOAT
| CHRISTENED BY PRINCE SEA AND AIR TRAFFIC British Official Wireless. . . (Received 11th July, 11 a.m.) EUGBY, 10th July. Tho Prince of Wales at Dover christened tho world's largest and fastest motor lifeboat, naming the vessel Sir William Hilary, after the founder of tho Lifeboat Institution, who, during his life, was concerned in the saving of 305 lives. T!.iu president and secretary of the French Lifeboat Society attended the function. The Prince, in his speech, said that the boat, stationed at England's gateway to the Continent, was to guard against casualties in steamship and aeroplane traffic. Spued was essential in responding to calls for help from aircraft which came down in the Channel, and in designing the new boat these special requirements were borne in mind.
