COMBINED CLUB DANCE
A cabaret and bridge evening arranged by the Men's and Women's University Clubs took place last evening at the Adolphi Cabaret, and proved a pleasant and successful function. Many parties had been formed, and these were provided with tho usual tables, and dancing went on comfortably', bridge being played in the lounge.. A sit-down supper - was provided in the supper-room, enabling all to partake at the same time in a pleasantly sociable manner. The committee members looked well after the guests, and helped much to secure the success of the evening'. The committee included Mrs. Sommervillo, Miss Loy, Miss Jull, Mr. M'Eldowney, and Mr. Watson, with Miss Featonby and Mr. Bollard as joint hon. secretaries. Among those present were Professor Somerville, Professor and Mrs. Eankino Brown, the latter indeep blue; Mr. and Mrs. 'Mawson, the latter in iloral chiffon; Sir John Hanham, Lieut. Elworthy, Miss Gillespy, in grey and.black floral chiffon; Miss J. Elliot, in pale pink taffeta; Miss Veitch, in palo green georgette; Mr. and Mrs. Griffin, the latter in green embossed georgette; Mrs. Harden, Miss D. Tanner, Mrs. Clere, in red gorgettc; Miss Cook, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Watson, Miss Watson, Miss Forsyth, iu pink silk; Miss Davis, Mrs. John Hannah, Miss Priestly, in black and jet; Miss .Roberts, Miss M. Hunter,'in deep blue georgette; Mr. and Mrs. Ilott, Miss M. TYascr, in parchment satin; Dr. E. Stout, M.v. J. H. Jack, Mr. Muskell, Mr. Miles, Mr. Elliot, and many others.
