SIR JOSEPH WARD
SLIGHTLY IMPEOVED
BUT CONDITION WEAK

AUCKLAND, This Day.
There was a slight improvement in Sir Joseph Ward's condition last night, although the gravest anxiety had been entertained all day.
Sir Joseph is at Prince's Gate, I'.otorua, where there arc also his daughter, Mrs. B. B. Wood, and othei members of the family—Messrs. Cyril Ward, Vincent Ward, Gladstone Ward, and I-at Ward.
In conversation with Mr. Vincent Ward by telephone at 1.30 p.m.- the "Auckland Star" learned that Sir Joseph Ward was still very weak and the five members of his family were in attendance.
