MOTOR TAXATION
INCREASES OPPOSED
NORTH ISLAND CRITICISED

The conference of North and South Island Motor Unions to-day passed a resolution strenuously protesting against any further increase in motor taxation.
Mr. A. E. Anscll, M.P., said that various North Island local bodies had urged a substantial increase in the petrol tax. That was the way of some people for a solution of their difficulties, but motorists could not consider the proposal, which was most unfair.
