FURTHER LOANS FOR WORKS
The City Council last evening adopted a recommendation from the Works Committee settin.- out a list of works, amounting to £10,000, the first instalment, of a relief works loan of £40,000. Of the remajning.,.£3o,ooo; £IS,OOO is to be set aside for improving access to tlje western subarbs, and the balance allocated for footpath construction work and the- wide'rt'iag' of roadways tc accommoda,tc...foQ.|;pivi;hs.
