MARJARAM FOUND GUILTY

SENTENCED °TO DEATH

According to the police, Albert Marjarain, aged twenty-three, charged with murdering Edith Parker by stabbing her on Dartford Heath, was cool and indifferent when arrested. He had previously given himself up for the Beading murder, but admitted that his selfaccusation was a pack of lies. He said that he had attacked his mother, attempted suicide, and tried to strangle his brother; Medical evidence did not disclose a tendency to insanity, though this was the basis of the defence. A verdict of guilty was entered and accused was sentenced to death.

On 12th April Evelyn Parker, aged 23, was walking with her younger sister Joan across Dartford Heath, when a man sprang out from some bushes, pushed Joan aside, and stabbed Evelyn in the back with a kuife. .The blade penetrated her heart.
