RUGBY FOOTBALL

TO-MORROW'S ATTRACTIONS,

Though neither is at the top of the. Wellington Rugby Union's championship ladder, Athletic and Eastbourne will provide the major draw, at Athletic Park tomorrow. Eastbourne will be making their first appearance at the Park since they were raised to the senior A, but recent performances, including a meritorious win. over Petone, have made the honour we 11----merited, and they can be expected to <>ive of their best, not only with the result oE the game in view/but also to create a favourable impression with the spectators. Athletic, like Eastbourne, have lost two matches, but by very narrow margins, and they should provide strong opposition. At Newtown Park .Marist, who have lost only one game, will meet Berhampore, who have a solitary win to their credit, but the Berhampore forwards will possibly cause Marist quite an amount of trouble. In the other games, the two old rivals, Petone and Poneke, will meet at Petone, and Old Boys will play Oriental at Prince of Wales Park. The early game at Athletic Park will be between Johnsonville and University, both of which are well up in the senior B championship.
