MASTERTON, This Day
The Masterton ladies' golf tourney concluded yesterday in bad weather. Kosults: Open Championship.—Mrs. Guy Williams beat Miss A. Eraser, 4 and 3; Mrs. Steel beat Mrs. Collins at the nineteenth hole. Final: Mrs. Williams beat Mrs. Steel, 3 and 1. Lansdowne Handicap.—Semi-finals: Mrs. Bidwill beat Miss A. Donald, 3 and 2; Mrs. Shepherd and Miss .Hornabrook were all square at the nineteenth hole, and Mrs. Shepherd gave the game to Miss Hornabrook. Final: Mrs. Bidwill beat Miss Hornabrook, 1 up. Mrs. Macßae's trophy for the best gross score ■during the tournament was won by Mrs. Williams with 79.
