WINGATUI NOTES

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.")

DUNEDIN, This Day.

At Wingatui to-day Circulation finished much better than Stealth over a mile, in Imin 49sec. The former looks better for her' racing at Invercargill. She will be ridden in the Birthday Handicap by the Salisbury apprentice, F. E. Ingram. Tardy easily held Glenrowan at the end of a niile; the last sis furlongs of which took, Imin'24 4-ssec. " Glenrowan is not a s;ood horse in heavy going, but Tardy was' doing well all the way. Money ; Mine was given a round at half-, pace and then ran home a mile in Imin 56sec- by himself. This horse does not look.right behind, and it will be surprising if he should win a race at the fortl^ coming meeting. Captivate and Strin:jbow worked well over half a mile. . ' Pink Note looks very well again, and strode out nicely over six furlongs. He is quite a possibility in the Birthday Handicap, as he looks better than he did at River ton.
