Miss Ai-Qha Clifford left the Eongotai Aerodrome at 9.10 tliis morning in an Avro-Avian on the return trip to Christchurch. She landed at Blenheim a, few minutes after 10 o 'clock. Mr. A. W. Nisbot, of Lower Hutt, was a passenger in the machine.' ' He intends to return to Wellington tiy the ferry steamer leaving Christehureh .this evening. Tho Minister of Defence (Hon. J. G. Cobbe) has. according, to'an exchange, agreed to grant tho Wairarapa Aero Club recognition as an independent unit, entitled to State financial and other assistance. It is stated that when tho Minister was approached on a previous occasion, ho suggested amalgamation -with the Wellington Aero Club. The Wairarapa. Aero Club now has a membership of well over a hundred! Major G. A. C. Cowper left Blenheim at 2 o'clock this afternoon for Hamilton in the new Desoutter monoplane, which has been assembled at Wigram for Brown's Airways, Ltd.
