A mild morning in Ch'ristchurch was followed by a squally afternoon. Temperatures fell rapidly, and 4* points of rain were recorded. The Cashmere Hills rocoived a coating of snow. Cold showers foil in Duneclin, accompanied by a strong south-west wind. An improvement in tho weather is forecasted to-day. Strong southerly w/nds will gradually declino in strength, the weather meanwhile being changeable with scattered showers. A gradual improvement, however, should take place.
