WELLINGTON'S REPRESENTATIVES

The possibility of ; the!Wellington representatives playing a scratch game 'to have a try-out before meeting the British team on 3rd June was mentioned-in a general way by the chairman (Mr. J. Prendoville) at last evisniug's meeting of the Management Comniittee of the Wellington Rugby Union. It was also suggested, that possibly club teams with representatives in the Wellington team might mutually agree not to play those players in a club match.

Mr. H. Murphy, said- he1 did, not like the latter idea at all. A player had a duty to his club. " ■

These sentiments were endorsed by Mr. A. J. Griffiths, but no definite decision on either point was. made. ;
