(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WHANGABEI, 20th May. ,'i'hc animal conference of tho Auckland Provincial Farmers' Union commenced to-day, ninety delegates attending. Poison, M.P., Dominion president, addressed the conferonco on the linos of his southern speeches, urging a readjustment of tax* ation, removing it from the necessities of life and placing it on luxuries, also increasing the taxes on the totalisator and hotel takings.
