MOTOR MECHANIC KILLED

INVERCARGILL, 20th May. While Charles William Forbes, a motor mechanic, aged 19, living in Thames street, was riding a motor-cycle in the vicinity of the Awarua Wireless Station on Bluff road this afternoon, the connecting links of his forks broke, resulting in the rider being thrown on to the road. He suffered serious injuries to which lie later succumbed in hospital.
