WEDDINGS

Tho wedding took place at St. Paul's Cathedral, Wellington, recently, of Gladys Mary, tho only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Parsons, of Wellington,and Leo Kno.v, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Palmer, of .Kaiwarra. Canon Pcrcival James, assisted by tho 3lov. 11. Reynolds, officiated. The brido entered tho church with her father, and was daintily gourned in a frock of ivory satin and georgette over lialo pink. Sho also wore a handsome embroidered veil and orango blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses, pink carnations, and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids wore, Misses Jean Palmer and Frances Cunningham, both wearing frocks of pink georgette, with large- pink felt hats to match, their bouquets being of pink roses and maidenhair fern. Tho little flower girl, Peggy Palmer, was dressed in pale blue silk taffeta, with a felt hat to match, and. carried a posy of lem/ti and mauvo flowers. Mr. L. Gardiner was best man and Mr. J. Adams groomsman. The church' was beautifully decorated, and Miss Edwards presided at the organ. As the bride and bridegroom left the church the bride was presented with a white satin horseshoe. After the ceremony a reception was hold at the Marino Engineers' Institute. Mrs. Parsons, who received the guests, wore a frock of navy blue' celanose satin, with navy blue felt hat to match, and carried a bouquet of red roses arid maiden-hair fern. Mrs. Palmer (mother of the bridegroom)' wore a frock of black georgette and lace, with a black felt hat, and carried a bouquet of autumn and mauve flowers. Mrs. F. Parsons (senior), of Enfield, Sydney, was in black satin and a black hat to match. Mr. P. S. Rothwell carried out the- duties of master of ceremonies at tho reception. ■
