UNEMPLOYED COMMITTEE

» I "The Post" has received a letter from members of the- "Committee of tho Organisation of Unemployed" claiming that it is the only committee capable of truly representing the unemployed because of the following reasons: (1) The committee vras eeeted at a mass meeting of unemployed workers. (4) It represents not only the unemployed worker who belongs to a union, but those who are unfinincial members of their union, or who do not belong to any organisation, r '' We would say that the central aim of our organisation is the securing of work at full trade, union rates or full maintenance," says tho letter. "That immediate demands are for immediate relief to those in. need, on the basis of decent accommodation, and three good meals a day; no relief rates of pay, and no eviction of either single or married men for arrears of rent,' incurred while unemployed." The letter is signed by E. F. Kearns, J. G. Long, E. P. Anthony, J. Cooper, W. A. Saunders, A. F. Marshall, and Stanley H. Chapman (secretary).
