WEST INDIAN PREFERENCE
KINGSTON (Jamaica), 9th May. Tho authorities havo served a noticeon the Canadian Government, under the Canada-West Indies trado agreement, that Canadian products imported into Jamaica after 30th September will benefit by the preferential tariff only if conveyed direct from Canadian ports.
A large quantity of goods now comes direct from the United States, vor is transhipped.
