HAMILTON, 9th May.

Although the majority attended a» confirmed opponents of regional planning the 50 delegates from the territory stretching from Eotorua to Taumarunui were mostly couverted to the scheme after hearing tho Director of Town Planning, Mr. Mawson, profound, tho scheme at Hamilton yesterday, where the committee sat to take evidence. Tho majority of tho speakers admitted that their opposition had been, founded on ignorance, and deplored-the" fact that a better knowledge of the proposals was not held-by the members of local bodies. Several of the speakers expressed tho opinion that'if the scheme had been put into operation two years ago New Zealand would have, been saved an amount of money it would be difficult to estimate.
