The Bill provides for the imposition of a stamp tax on wages of a penny in the pound per week on all incomes to £312 a year, and for a.super-tax »t> a sliding scale on all incomes between £312 and £5000 a year. Tims persons receiving £500 a year will pay 50s a year, £700 Sin, £1000 &%, £1500 £15, £2000 £24, £3000 £39, in additi6n to the ordinary iucome tax. Tho Bill will operate for twelve 'months.
