(By Telegraph —Press Association.' DUNEDIN, Bth May. The rorbury Parl: Trotting Club's Winter Heeling was opened to-day in bright sunshine and before a very largo attendance for an off day. The track was in splendid order, making for exceptionally fast' times,"* and the racing was full of interest. The totalisator handled £23,032 10s, compared with £21,----!)!J0 10s on the first day last year. Mr. C. D. Hudson's two-year-old colt Tocid Lonzia established an Australasian record of 2mln 22 1-Ssec for a mile for a two-year-old trotter. The time would have been better but for a break three furlongs from home. The colt was driven by his trainer, A. Cox. Results:—
